SBC DSL SUCKS
Ever since I have had SBC DSL, almost every time I try to get on the internet at night it doesn't work. Well the computer was fucked for 3 weeks in general so it didn't matter. But it is really rediculous. The through put is at 50%, so there is a connection but it is so slow the pages won't load. So the only time I have to call SBC is during the afternoon when I am at home between jobs, and of course it works during the day, it doesn't work from 6pm to 10:30 everyday. So when I called, first of all I don't want to sound like a bitch, but some Indian dude was my tech support, you know I am fond of out sourcing jobs, and I can barely understand what the fuck he is saying. But it all came down to I have to call when the shit isn't working for them to fix the problem. He asked which state I was in, Ohio right. Then he askes is that near Chicago or Texas, what is the point of that question?
Any way, I am still irriated to say the least, and if this shit isn't working tonight and I call SBC to not have the problem resolved again I am going to have to cancel their shit service. FYI, stick with cable modems everyone.

I have DSL and switched from the Comcast Monoply and DSL is tons better. I don't know what kind of problems you're having, not a technical person here. I can tell you that I have had the DSL service for the last 2 years and it hasn't been down at all. I use the internet 3 times day as a usual thing. Morning, mid-day, and then late evening. I click on the rocketship and I am. I also like the Yahoo bundling with the wifi access. Do cable companies even give a shit about their customers, NO. They charged me $45.00 per mo for something I'm now paying $29.99 for 3.0 mpbs service which is BETTER. I LOVE MY DSL and say it's time for cable company competition. Maybe the price of cable internet or even television would go down if they had to lease their lines to competition as well!
SBC dsl has been pretty good for last two years. But in last two months it can not suck enough.
North CA. Sacramento and basically no connection most of day. For last month it has grown more and more sporadic till basically no connnecton today.
I even rebuilt my pc to make sure no issues on my side. One of thier techs gave me their DNS IP numbers and that worked for 1/2 the day... The rest of their crew acts like no problems at all going on.
Guess this is what we get for $14.95 per month for new users.
Time to move to another provider.
